In a nutshell, Afterpay allows you to buy your watch now and pay for it in four easy, interest-free payments over six weeks - all while you wear your dazzling new timepiece out in the town.

How does Afterpay work?

Afterpay acts as the middleman between you, the customer, and retailers. The way it works? Afterpay pays the seller upfront for their goods, and then you pay back Afterpay. Simple. 

All you need to do is make four fortnightly payments over six weeks. All payments are of equal value and are interest-free. However, there are late fees for those who don’t stick to the payment plan. 

And unlike other payment platforms, Afterpay doesn’t require a visit to the bank or an in-depth ID check. All you need is an Afterpay account. But while you don’t need a credit check to sign up for a free account, there are some requirements:

• You must be 18 years old or older and be the authorised holder of a debit or credit card
• Your watch must be over $35
• Your first payment is always 25% of the total cost of your watch
